How to: Onboard Stripe
Instructions for connecting Dive 365 and Stripe (Merchant Account)
Use the instructions below to connect your Organization in Dive 365 to a Stripe account, thereby establishing your Merchant Account in Dive 365. This connection is required to facilitate payment from your customers (Accounts).
Sign into the Registration service
Navigate to the Registration service (link)
I do not have an existing Stripe account
Follow these instructions if you do NOT have an existing Stripe account. Otherwise, skip to the next section.
Provide a password or connect via a provider
If you are using an email provider like Google, it is recommended that you connect to Stripe using the “Sign in with Google” (or equivalent) button and follow the prompts. This will allow you to connect with Stripe without having to enter a new/different password. If you are not using a provider, enter a password.

Configure 2FA
You will be required to set up 2-factor authentication (2FA). You can use most authenticator apps (e.g. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.). Open the authenticator app and scan the QR core to add Stripe to your list of services. Once you have added the service, click the "next" button.

Download/store emergency backup code
After your code is verified, you will be shown an emergency backup code. If you lose your sign in credentials or your authenticator app gets disconnected, you will be able to re-connect with your Stripe account using the emergency backup code. It is recommended that you download the code and place it in a secure location (e.g. Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.). After you have downloaded the code, click “next”.

Follow the prompts to provide details about your Organization. For example:

Optionally configure invoice details
You can optionally set details for how customer’s will see information regarding your Organization on invoices. Dive 365 will be the host for invoices, so this will not be necessary for Dive 365 itself, but can be a good practice if you intend to use Stripe for other activities (e.g. 50/50, etc.).
