Organizations
What are Organizations?
An Organization is an organized body managing a club or a parent governing body.
How do Organizations work?
Organizations are configured in a hierarchical manner. This allows for relationships between Organizations for the purposes of reporting and seamless financial transactions. For example:
Dive 365
Diving Plongeon Canada
BC Diving
Boardworks Diving Academy
iDive
White Rock
Plongeon Québec
ARO
CAMO
A root Organization will have some special capabilities within Dive 365 as they will need to define certain aspects of the how the service will work for their entire membership. Child Organizations will then abide by those rules.
Each Organization can create child Organizations. Each Organization will also be responsible for managing their own content; from Session to Payment Plans, Organizations will also be required to configure a Merchant Account.
Access to Organizations will be managed by administrators assigned to the Organization using Roles and invitations.
Archiving
Organizations cannot be deleted. This is to ensure integrity of captured data. As a result, Organizations may only be archived. Once archived, an Organization will no longer be usable or visible in any user interface, though they will still appear in Reports.
Only Dive 365 can archive an Organization. Should archiving be required, please reach out to Dive 365.
Permissions
The "organization reader" Role is required to view Organization details. The "organization contributor" Role is required to modify Organization details.
