Fees
What are Fees?
A Fee is a payment made to a service. The Dive 365 service includes 2 fees; a subscription fee and a transaction fee. The Dive 365 service also makes use of a third-party payment service, Stripe, and is therefore subject to their transaction fee.
How do Fees work?
Subscription fees
Subscription fees are collected on the first of the month from each subscribed Organization. Subscription fees may be waived subject to negotiated agreement with a governing body (usually a parent Organization).
Transaction fees
On every purchase, a Member will be presented with an order summary that will show the item(s) being purchased. An extra line item will be included that will add a "harmonized transaction fee." The harmonized transaction fee includes fees from Dive 365 as well as the merchant account (Stripe), which are both calculated based on a percentage of the subtotal. The result is that the Member will pay all fees instead of the Organization.
To illustrate, assume the harmonized transaction fee is set to 5.5%. In the example below, the Member purchases 2 items at $100.00 each. The harmonized transaction fee is applied to the subtotal.
